Default Encourage skill Synergy

I think that skills should all be designed to work well with other skills, so they should remove the "ends on skill" from skills like bonetti's defense and find other ways to balance these skills. Another prime example is primal rage, which is one skill that makes all of your other skills useless. They should completely revamp it like they did with Vow of Strength, and allow it to work with other skills.

I think they should not worry about stupid skills and work on GW2, Primal rage si a bad skill, and so are alot of other skills, It is as simple as that.

bonettis is fine, however I do agree with primal rage... although a better option in the short term is to find skill synergy elsewhere... theres more then enough of it.

if a skill doesn't work with another skill... don't use it together then?

i agree with the op but like MORDIEGO mentioned they are usable ,but that doesnt mean they arent beyond crap, tbh if it was after me i would remove all pve only skills, and for pve make all skills 1.have no drawbacks while keeping them balanced,2.make the duration of a skill last longer than its recharge. This is mi opinion ,what i ask is please dont troll

Maybe I'm reading the OP wrong, but it sounds like he wants and 'EASY' button.

"Ends on skill use" is a method of balancing a skill. Just because you don't like it, and can't figure out how to make use of it does not mean it needs to be changed.

bonetti's is fine. Primal Rage is crap though, and would be a good candidate for replacing with a whole new skill.

Skill synergy is already there.

Players are the ones that must notice it and use it.

You can't encourage that.

that is the point of the OP: it is bad, so make it at least useable.

but there are only a few devs working on GW now and patches are less and less common (going with the players)

What he said. It's already there if you know how to make use of it. However buffing things more could be bad if the skills become IMBA as a result. Take the imbagon... err paragon. A lot of skills had to be nerfed because they worked too well together. I think it was also one of the reasons why armor stopped stacking like it used to and how things like Watch Yourself got nerfed.

I think that skills disabling other skills is a form of synergy, in a sense, because using a skill like that forces you to rethink the rest of your bar. Personally, I was disappointed by the change to Vow of Strength - true, by your idea of synergy, it fits better with other skills, but its effect is less interesting in my opinion. Originally, it forced you to rethink your entire bar - in effect, it took care of melee attack damage, and made you think either defense or spell based damage buffs.

As for skills that end when another skill is used - this makes stacking those kind of buffs harder. It is still possible to do increased damage / defense while something like Bonetti's is active, but they need to be applied before, not during. This is, in fact, encouraging synergy - if you wish to use multiple skills, you need to plan them more in order for them to work together.
